Introduction
Rotary Club of Lumbini Siddharthanagar organized a Community Meeting for the Girls’ Toilet Project at Shree Manjhariya Basic School on 29th August 2026. The meeting was organized to discuss the need for safe, hygienic, and girl-friendly toilet facilities at the school and to involve the local community and stakeholders in the proposed project.
Objectives
To identify the existing sanitation needs of girl students.
To discuss the proposed girls’ toilet project with the school and community.
To encourage community participation and ownership of the project.
To coordinate with teachers, RCC representatives, and other stakeholders.
To promote proper hygiene, sanitation, and a safe learning environment for girls.
Program Highlights
The program was attended by Hon. Kanhaiya Kumar Baniya, Parliament Member, as the Chief Guest. A total of 35 Rotarians, teachers, the RCC Chair, and other stakeholders participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, participants discussed the importance of adequate sanitation facilities for girl students. The stakeholders shared their views and suggestions regarding the proposed toilet project, its implementation, community participation, and long-term maintenance.
The Chief Guest appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of providing appropriate sanitation facilities in schools to ensure a safe, healthy, and supportive educational environment for girls.
Outcomes
The sanitation needs of the school were discussed and identified.
Stakeholders expressed their support for the proposed girls’ toilet project.
Community participation and coordination were strengthened.
Awareness regarding hygiene and sanitation was increased.

Conclusion
