Women in Rotary with Ujjawala Shakya

The Rotary Club of Patan, in collaboration with Radio Sagarmatha FM 102.4, continues its “Women in Rotary (Mahila Sanga Rotary)” radio programme, highlighting the inspiring achievements, journeys, challenges, leadership, and contributions of women in society.

The seventh episode, broadcast on Bhadra 22, featured an engaging conversation with Ms. Ujjwala Shakya, one of the seven members managing Lucky Seven Masala Udyog, a successful collective spice enterprise based in Nyakhachowk, Patan.

Through the programme, Ms. Shakya shared her journey of bringing together women from her local community, motivating them to work collectively, and taking a leading role in establishing and successfully operating the enterprise.

Her journey reflects women’s leadership, collective entrepreneurship, determination, and community empowerment, demonstrating how women can create sustainable opportunities by working together.

Through such inspiring conversations, the programme aims to motivate women and the wider community by showcasing the journeys, achievements, and valuable contributions of women from diverse backgrounds and professions.

The programme records two episodes every month, with each episode broadcast several times during the month. One regular broadcast is every Monday from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM on Radio Sagarmatha FM 102.4.

The “Women in Rotary” programme is a joint initiative of the Rotary Club of Patan and Radio Sagarmatha, providing a platform to share inspiring stories and journeys of women while strengthening Rotary’s connection and visibility within the community.
