1. Introduction
Rotary Club of Lumbini Siddharthanagar organized a Maternal and Child Health Awareness Program on 15th August 2026 at Shree Rupandehi Lilaram Neupane Secondary School, Bhairahawa. The program was conducted with the objective of raising awareness about maternal health, child health, nutrition, hygiene, preventive healthcare, and the importance of timely medical consultation.
The program was coordinated by Rtn. Parshuram Parajuli, with Dr. Shailja Ghimire serving as the Chief Guest and Facilitator. A total of 65 participants attended the program.
2. Objectives
The major objectives of the program were:
To increase awareness about maternal and child health.
To promote healthy practices among mothers, children, and families.
To provide information about proper nutrition and personal hygiene.
To raise awareness about preventive healthcare and regular health check-ups.
To encourage timely consultation with qualified health professionals.
To promote a healthy and informed community.
3. Major Activities
During the program, Dr. Shailja Ghimire facilitated an informative awareness session focusing on important aspects of maternal and child health.
