Emergency flash flood response

The Rotary Club of Dhading, in close coordination with Galchhi Rural Municipality, distributed essential relief packages to 20 households severely affected by floods and landslides in Galchhi Rural Municipality-6. The support comes in the wake of the devastating disaster on Bhadra 10, which caused extensive damage across Galchhi, Baireni, and surrounding areas. Rotary Club of Dhading President Ishwor Kandel stated that the initiative aimed to address the immediate survival, hygiene, and shelter needs of the displaced families.

Relief Supplies Distributed

Food Rations: Rice, sugar, salt, cooking oil, soybeans, beaten rice (chiura), and snacks (dalmoth).

WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) Kits: Buckets, water purification solution (Piyush), mugs, laundry and bathing soaps, cotton towels, combs, nail clippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, undergarments, sanitary pads, and kit bags.

Emergency Shelter Materials: Tarpaulins, foam mats, and ropes.

The Rotary Club reaffirmed its commitment to disaster response, pledging continued assessment and humanitarian assistance to vulnerable communities in the area.
