Shiv Utsav

The Mondays of the holy month of Shrawan hold special significance for Hindu devotees, who visit Shiva temples in large numbers to offer prayers and worship Lord Shiva. To mark the first and final Mondays of Shrawan, the Rotary Club of Damak, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Damak and the Interact Club of JMES, organized a Shiva Utsav - Prasad Distribution Program for devotees.

The two-day service project provided prasad to more than 250 devotees visiting the temple. The initiative reflected the clubs’ commitment to community service while promoting the values of compassion, devotion, fellowship, and social responsibility.

The program was warmly appreciated by the Temple Management Committee, the devotees and added a meaningful dimension to the sacred observance of Shrawan. It also received significant public recognition, being featured in a local newspaper and highlighted by the popular social media portal Damak Banda. This wider coverage helped extend the reach of the initiative and encouraged greater community participation in service-oriented activities.
