Project Description
21 August 2026 |The Rotary Club of Yala continued its regular community service by organizing a Krishna Jhula (swing) and Bhojan programme at Jesth Nagarik Diwa Swastha Sewa Kendra, Shankhamul, bringing together Rotarians and Anns to spend meaningful time with senior citizens and beneficiaries of the Centre.
Refreshments and companionship created a warm and joyful environment, promoting social wellbeing and dignity among the elderly. During the visit, the Centre’s caretaker shared the financial difficulty of meeting his wife’s heart-treatment expenses. Responding to the need, the Club provided financial assistance towards her medical expenses.
The programme demonstrated Rotary’s commitment to compassionate, responsive and people-centred service, creating immediate support while strengthening community connections.
