Project Description
30 Aug 2026, The Rotary Club of Yala, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Yala, continued its annual community service during the Mataya procession, providing free foot massage and first aid support to pilgrims.
Mataya, a traditional festival of Lalitpur, brings thousands of devotees together to visit sacred shrines and commemorate deceased loved ones. The long walking procession can be physically demanding, particularly for elderly pilgrims.
The service offered timely relief from fatigue, foot pain and minor injuries, enabling pilgrims to continue their spiritual journey comfortably and safely. Conducted since the Club’s inception, the project reflects Rotary Club of Yala’s sustained commitment to community wellbeing, cultural heritage and service above self, while strengthening collaboration between Rotary and Rotaract.
